File Architecture

A strategic read of the evidence that makes up the application.

File Architecture examines the academic and evidentiary record as a complete system: coursework, testing, honors, activities, recommendations, context, school strategy, and the relationships connecting them across the dossier.

Every piece of evidence carries a function.

The read identifies the strongest existing signals, the claims the file can credibly support, the evidence available to prove them, and the places where additional architecture creates greater coherence.

The result is a clearer view of what the committee will see, what deserves emphasis, and how the application can be organized around its strongest defensible interpretation.

Academic Record

Course rigor, grades, trajectory, academic lanes, and the pattern created across the transcript.

Testing

Score positioning, submission strategy, and the evidence surrounding the testing profile.

Honors

Issuer, scope, selectivity, rank, and the authority communicated by each distinction.

Activities

Role, output, users, scale, artifacts, impact, and the residue left by the student's work.

Recommendations

Witness selection, denominator, episodes, artifacts, and the pattern each recommender can establish.

Context

School environment, access, timeline, opportunity, family circumstances, and information shaping the read.

The file is read as evidence before it is organized as argument.

File Architecture draws from the wider Ivy Sanctum methodology, including the Common App File, Activity Ledger, Honors Authority Line, Witness Gate, Dossier Triangulation, and related systems.

Materials become a working architecture.

The student submits the current academic and application record. The file is read across evidence, hierarchy, witness, placement, context, and institutional position. The resulting analysis is returned as a structured working document designed to guide the next stage of the application.
