When you submit an Office Hours question, send correspondence, inquire about advisory work, purchase a Library edition, or otherwise communicate with us, information may include:

Office Hours and correspondence

The Office Hours form collects the information entered into the form, including name, email address, grade or year, target schools when supplied, and the question submitted.

Office Hours submissions are processed through Formspree and routed to The Ivy Sanctum for review and response.

Email correspondence may be transmitted using our branded email infrastructure and service providers, including Brevo.

Library purchases and payments

Library purchases are processed through Stripe. Payment information entered into Stripe Checkout is handled by Stripe according to its own privacy and security practices.

The Ivy Sanctum may receive transaction information associated with a purchase, including the purchaser's email address, product purchased, amount, payment status, date, and related order information required for fulfillment, accounting, customer support, refunds, and dispute handling.

Full payment-card credentials are processed through Stripe's payment infrastructure.

Website analytics

The Ivy Sanctum uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors discover and use the website.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics may process information including page views, sessions, approximate geographic information, referring source, browser and device characteristics, and interactions measured through the website.

We also use event measurement to understand activity such as entering the Library, opening a volume, expressing interest in forthcoming editions, clicking an acquisition link, and submitting Office Hours.

Microsoft Clarity

Microsoft Clarity helps us understand website experience through interaction analytics such as clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, navigation patterns, and reconstructed session behavior.

Clarity applies masking to information entered into text-input fields in its session-recording system.

Service providers

The Ivy Sanctum uses specialist providers to operate different parts of the website and business infrastructure.

The Ivy Sanctum serves an admissions audience that can include students under the age of eighteen.

The website is intended for users age thirteen and older. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under thirteen. A parent or guardian who believes information concerning a child under thirteen has been submitted may contact us to request review and deletion.
